I'm going to Peru!!
And it's with the PEACE CORPS, the hardest job you'll ever love!
Starting in September I will be abroad in Peru as a Public Health Educator/ Community Health Promoter with the health sector of Peace Corps Peru for 27 months. I'll help families adopt healthy lifestyle practices. I'll be working with youth and young adults to provide nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention education. I'll be working with pregnant women to keep them and their babies safe and healthy. Of course I'll be participating in a cultural exchange like no other. I know I'll be learning so much more than I could ever anticipate but won't know exactly what that will be until I get there...
